Overview
ZC-T054 is a thermoplastic semiconductive polypropylene (PP) compound engineered for medium-voltage power cables up to 35 kV. Its advanced, non-crosslinked formulation eliminates the need for post-degassing, reducing production time and improving manufacturing efficiency. Designed for clean, stable extrusion, it is fully compatible with PP and XLPE insulation in multi-layer co-extrusion setups.

Q1: Is crosslinking required?
A1: No. ZC-T054 is fully thermoplastic and does not require crosslinking or degassing after extrusion.

The typical values in the table come from the type test report issued by the National Cable Testing Center.
Processing:
1. It can be used in the conventional production of 35kV and below power cable CCV catenary production line equipment extrusion, no need for crosslinking and degassing. The extruder should meet the maximum temperature control not less than250 ℃, to meet the polypropylene extrusion manufacturing.
Extrusion temperature setting
It is recommended to use a three-layer filter (40-80-40); Before and after production, the extruder should be cleaned.
1. It is recommended to use a single-thread equidistant varied deep screw extruder with a screw length-diameter ratio of 25:1 and a screw compression ratio of about 2 for production, together with the use of special shielding products for polypropylene insulation.
The recommended extrusion processing temperature is as below:
-Above temperature is only for reference. It is recommended that customers adjust according to the current at the time of extrusion, the melting pressure and the actual situation after the cable extrusion.

Note:
1. 1.Before use, it is necessary to confirm that the sealed packaging is intact. The product should not be exposed to air for a long time.
2. 2.Transportation, stacking and storage should prevent sun, rain and water immersion, etc.and the storage environment should be clean, dry and ventilated.
